శ్రీ కృష్ణదేవరాయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం కాలేజ్ ఆఫ్ ఇంజనీరింగ్ అండ్ టెక్నాలజీ

Prof. Machireddy Ramakrishna Reddy (popularly known as M.R.K.Reddy) was born on 15th May 1958 in Giddangivari palli village of YSR KADAPA district in a farming family of Lt. Shri.M.Ramachandra Reddy and Smt.M.Lakshminarasamma. Prof. M.R.K. Reddy is an academician, administrator and author who assumed charge as the Vice-Chancellor of Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU), Anathapuramu on 26th November 2020.

Prof. M.R.K.Reddy obtained his Master’s degree and Ph.D. from the Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He is specialized in Mineral Exploration, Hydrogeology, Environmental Geology, Hydro-geochemistry and Groundwater Pollution, Water Resource Management and Remote Sensing. He was the founder Head of the Geo-informatics (Geology) and 5-yr Integrated M.Sc., course in Earth Sciences.

Since joining as a faculty at Yogi Vemana University (YVU), Prof. M.R.K.Reddy had the first-hand experience in the administration and development of the varsity during its unique and highly organized growth trajectory. As Vice-Chancellor (FAC), Rector, Principal, Registrar, Dean Faculty of Sciences, Dean for Various Schools, Dean CDC and Controller of Examinations of YVU did pioneering work and accomplished goals of excellence.

As academician and researcher, Prof.M.R.K.Reddy has 60 research publications in national/international journals and 43 research papers presented in the national/international conferences/symposia. He is involved in inter-disciplinary research in Applied Geology and has successfully guided several students for their Ph.D. degrees. He is recipient of President’s Scout Certificate awarded by His Excellency President V.V. Giri in the year 1972. Also, he received prestigious A.P. State Awards to the University Teacher in the year 2011. He is serving as a reviewer for several SCI journals, adjudicator for PhD thesis and faculty selection committee member for India universities.
